PALM BEACH CULTURAL + CREATIVE HUB
Located in Palm Beach between the peaceful 5th Ave and the Active Palm Beach Ave, a brief posed to create a city centre and begin to utilise the ‘in- between’ spaces that occur throughout the Palm Beach area. This project looked to create connections that address and activate the streets while also providing a courtyard that serves as the fulcrum point of the site, forming a strong relationship across briefs. The brief, just like the site, gradient in activity. From the program of a library to the return of the beloved ‘Playroom’, a live music venue. This scheme looks at recognising the gradient sequencing of the site and tapping into the surrounding connections to create a building that belongs to Palm Beach, and most importantly, the community that occupy it.
